I'll be putting my tongue in the wind across the USA again. This will be my last cross-country ride, and we're calling this mission

Our westbound trek is in honor of those who served in the Armed Forces, past and present.
While in California, we will be visiting a memorial in Irvine, California honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Our eastbound trek is for Bowe Bergdahl, Sergeant, US Army. SGT Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban on 30 June 2009.
We plan to return to North Carolina on May 21 or 22.

I will be a guest of Rolling Thunder Chapter NC1 (Fayetteville, NC) and will link-up with them to ride from Fayetteville to Washington, DC. We are humbled to be able to ride with them during the Demonstration to show our support of efforts to account for all of our POW/MIA and to have our men and women returned home.
Route:
We're not pawsitive which route we're gonna take. It'll depend on what the weather forecast is for the mountains in Colorado and Utah. We'll bark over the forecast and make a decision around May 3.
Our preferred route if there is no snow or freezing temps (ice) in the forecast

Accomodations:
In previous years, we didn't post our nightly destinations. This year, we're barking over the idea of posting the hotel/town when we make the reservations in case anyone wants to linkup and ride with us for a few hours.

This is the cover to my Gold Star Roster. We will be carrying this roster across the USA.
We had a drive belt and sprocket failure on Day 1 (May 10) in West Virginia and had to return to Raleigh in a U-Haul. Craig Hardy continued the mission.
